Choice Marketing, a non-profit buying and marketing association of 32 UK-wide garden centres, held their annual members conference on 10th June at the Helidon Spa and Country Club near Daventry. TreeLocate, as an Associate Supplier to the organisation, was in attendance displaying our wares.
TreeLocate’s Sales Manager, Paul Smith, and Les Porteous from our Trade Sales team, took along a selection of products popular with Garden Centres – as many as could fit onto a 6-foot table and still leave space for catalogues, brochures etc.
Around 90% of the Choice group’s members attended the conference meeting, with the (approximately) 20 Associate Suppliers from 130 in their lists who had sent along representatives and product displays. Talks and presentations were made regarding forthcoming product trends.
Our team reports the afternoon was extremely useful for meeting their customers and confirming to them why TreeLocate is one of Choice Marketing’s Associate Suppliers. New ranges for the season from end of this year and into the Spring of next year were presented, and discussed with attendees.
Choice Marketing provide a range of services to their members that go beyond negotiating group pricing with enhanced terms. As the group’s name suggests, customer contact and messaging is a primary function.
They provide design and distribution services for traditional paper leaflet promotions three times per year with a one-million circulation level, and provide e-newsletter design and delivery to a growing database. Both of those are customised for each member garden centre.
Additionally, Choice operate the 200,000-consumer Gardener’s Reward Card system, with bi-monthly promotions and reward mailings that include offers staggered throughout each two month duration. Again these are all customised to each garden centre in the group.
