Situated on the golden shores of Palm Jumeirah, Ula is a beachside restaurant and bar that embraces a relaxed, organic atmosphere. Inspired by natural materials and Mediterranean living, the space flows effortlessly from laid back daytime dining to vibrant evenings by the sea, creating a destination that feels like a holiday at any hour.
Our client required a striking tree to serve as the centrepiece of their bar, one that would enhance the luxurious feel of the space. The tree had to be imposing yet graceful, with a canopy large enough to add elegance without overwhelming the space. Fire safety was a priority, and the foliage also needed to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without discolouring.
To meet these requirements, we sourced a rare natural trunk and manufactured a 4.5m canopy of branches, carefully designed to create a balance of grandeur and natural elegance. Our olive foliage, which was both UVSilx and FireSilx certified, was chosen for its colourfast properties, ensuring it would stay vibrant even in direct sunlight and also to ensure the tree met all required safety standards.
We achieved an eye-catching focal point that transformed the space. The olive tree contrasted with the modern surroundings, offering a peaceful place where customers could relax. The client was delighted with the finished look, knowing the tree would continue enhancing the bar for years to come.
